About Karen
Karen Fergason is an integrative physical therapist with more than 25 years of experience working in neurological rehabilitation. Over time, her professional focus has shifted beyond isolated symptoms and traditional models of care toward a more honest, integrative understanding of health—one that recognizes the deep connection between the brain, movement, lifestyle, and personal responsibility. Brain Based PT was created to support individuals ready for that broader conversation.
Karen’s perspective is informed not only by advanced post-graduate education in neuroplasticity and brain-based approaches, but also by lived experience. As a mother of six—two with special needs—and through her own family’s health journey, she came to understand that chronic pain and complex conditions are rarely just physical problems. These experiences reshaped how she approaches care, reinforcing her belief that healing requires engagement, curiosity, and a willingness to challenge long-held assumptions.
When You’re Ready, Begin.
This work is for those ready to take responsibility for their health, challenge old beliefs, and walk a new path toward healing. I’ll walk with you — but the journey begins with your decision.
